Classic Cars > All Makes > Locations > Northumberland, Newcastle & Durham

Northumbria Classics are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, close to the picturesque counties of Northumberland and Durham. Easily accessible via the A1 M motorway, by train to Newcastle Central or plane to Newcastle International Airport. If you are a visitor from Scandinavia/Holland/Belgium/Germany we are located just 10 miles from North Shields DFDS ferry service (Imjuiden- Amsterdam). We have a superb range of classic cars for self-drive hire and film/studio work. Northumberland is the northernmost county in England and the most remote. The country lanes and B roads take you back to driving in the 1950s, with very little traffic amidst beautiful and varied scenery. The attractions are many and varied: Lindisfarne, Hadrian’s Wall, 30 miles of beautiful coastline, and more castles than any other county in England including Alnwick, Bamburgh, Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Chillingham. Only just over an hour from the Scottish Border region driving through the Cheviots and Northumberland National Park. Durham city, to the south is dominated by the magnificent Norman cathedral and is the gateway to the Durham Dales and the North Pennine National Park. We are within 30 minutes of The Beamish museum which hosts many historic vehicle events. Whether you want to enjoy the fantastic countryside or coastline, plan a trip from Castle to Castle, or visit the many country houses and villages then Northumbria Classic Car hire can help you ensure you have a memorable time in one of our superb classics.
