2 door, 2 seat drophead coupe. One of only 502 built, and even fewer with this 2.5litre overhead camshaft engine.
Our 1949 Riley RMD Roadster was built in the immediate post war period, but unlike other cars from that era, Riley had created something new and innovative, including a box section chassis with torsion bar suspension – so it drives surprisingly well by today’s standards. It was aimed at the export market to America, and is a really elegant design with its sweeping wheel arch surrounds and chrome detailing. One long bench seat across the front gives you plenty of room to stretch out, and feels very comfortable. It definitely has the look of the Gangster about it and wouldn’t look out of place in Chicago!
