When you drive a R107 (save for the lowest output model) they drive like tanks in that they feel indestructible. They’re actually very easy to drive and manoeuvre which is why they remained so popular for so long and have achieved a status that whilst not maybe truly iconic they’ve become the stuff of legend due to their build quality. The R107 was produced between 1971 and 1989 with models ranging from the 280 SL to 560SL.
